Mike Rama is serving his last term as Vice-Mayor of Cebu City. Many had already speculated what will be his next career moves. While his statements were conceived as congenial to that of Mayor Tomas Osmeña's stances his actions seems to confused Cebuanos of what to expect from him in 2010 elections.
Here are some points Frank Malilong had correctly observed:
- Mike voiced his displeasure over the summary execution of suspected criminals even as Tommy was practically endorsing it in calling for a tougher stance against crime.
- Mike rejected a land deal that Tommy proposed with the Provincial Government.
- The City Council, under Mike’s leadership, invited Tommy to explain the closure of the South Coastal Road. In an attempt to soften its impact, the Council would later say they merely wanted the mayor to enlighten them on the issue but who’s kidding who?
